Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

This policy covers the website engram.im. The engram tool is separate: it runs entirely on your own machine, reads and writes files under ~/.claude/, and syncs only over a git remote you control — it has no servers and sends none of your memories to us. This page is about the marketing site only.

What we collect

The site has no accounts, no sign-up, and no forms — we don't ask you for any personal information. The only data collection is optional analytics:

Cookies & consent

Analytics cookies are off by default. Google Analytics is not loaded and sets no cookies until you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you click Decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish visitors. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser — you'll then be asked again on your next visit.

Legal basis

For visitors in the EU/UK, our legal basis for analytics is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy/PECR cookie rules). Consent is optional and can be withdrawn as described above.

Third parties

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it beyond these processors.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to opt out. Since the site collects only anonymous-ish analytics and no account data, the simplest way to stop collection is to decline cookies or clear them. For any request, contact us below.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes; the "last updated" date above will reflect any revision.
